Hoonah Senior Center

Welcome to the Hoonah Senior Center Homepage!

​The Senior Center staff provide daily lunches, deliveries, rides, community events and much more. 

​

Tina Martin, the rural advocate, along with her staff, are available to assist seniors with a variety of needs including: social security paperwork, benefits paperwork, Home Care coordination, medical appointments, transportation to and from the clinic by appointment, and applications to live at the senior apartments.

​

Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority owns and operates the Senior Apartments. To contact them directly call Carrie Matz at 907-780-6868

SENIOR SERVICES:

Lunch is provided at the Senior Center or by home delivery 5 days a week for senior 60 years and older.

DAILY: pick up services for lunch at the Senior Center, including transportation to and from the Post Office

TUESDAY/THURSDAY: Transportation for local shopping

*If you have needs at other times (i.e. doctor appointment), please call the Senior Center to schedule a reservation.

TLINGIT LANGUAGE CLASS:

Every Friday night at the Senior Center, 6pm-7pm. Adults only, no child care is provided.

The Hoonah Senior Center is part of the Catholic Community Service - Southeast Senior Services
